Professor Pang Daiwen from Nankai University elected as a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering

On February 15, 2021, the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) officially released the list of newly elected Fellows for 2021. A total of 174 AIMBE Fellows were elected globally to recognize their outstanding achievements in the fields of medical and biological engineering. Professor Pang Daiwen from the College of Chemistry at Nankai University was elected for his exceptional contributions to the development of quantum dot-based single-virus tracking methodologies. It is understood that the AIMBE is affiliated with the National Academy of Sciences of the United States and is dedicated to innovation in medical engineering and biological engineering. AIMBE Fellowship is the highest academic honor in the fields of medical and biological engineering in the United States, bringing together the most outstanding elites in the field globally, with approximately 2,000 Fellows currently. Each year, new Fellows are elected through a process of nomination by existing Fellows, followed by two rounds of screening, and finally by a vote of all Fellows.
