Recently, Professor Pang Daiwen was invited to publish a paper titled “Single-Virus Tracking: From Imaging Methodologies to Virological Applications” in Chemical Reviews, providing a comprehensive and in-depth summary and review of the field’s development. The article provides a historical review of the key stages in the development of single-virus tracking technology, discusses fluorescent labeling agents and labeling methods available for single-virus tracking, and systematically elaborates on imaging methodologies. At the same time, through some advances in the field of single-virus tracking, the paper emphasizes the advanced nature of this method in studying viral infection mechanisms and offers new insights into the development and challenging issues in the field. The article was selected as the cover article by Chemical Reviews.
