Pathogen detection
Source:Research Group of Prof. Pang Time:2020-03

Infectious diseases have always been a major threat to human health. For highly infectious pathogens, rapid, sensitive and reliable detection methods are not only conducive to the rapid diagnosis and timely treatment of diseases, but also can be infected with infectious diseases, especially those infected with virulent viruses, timely and effective isolation, can greatly reduce the infection rate, improve the survival rate. In recent years, immunochromatography has become the most promising rapid detection method because of its convenience, speed and ease of use. With the rapid development of nanotechnology, various nanomaterials have shown great application advantages and broad application prospects in immunochromatography as marker materials. In particular, gold nanoparticles, fluorescent quantum dots and magnetic nanoparticles have excellent properties that cannot be matched by traditional materials, and are widely used in the field of biomedicine.Over the past decade, our research group has been working on materials based on quantum dots and magnetic nanoparticles, in particular developing two methods for constructing fluorescent/magnetic functional nanospheres.Using these functional nanospheres, we have achieved sensitive and reliable detection of various proteins, viruses, bacteria and tumor cells.Anal.
